enthusiasts. As well as the numerous activities listed below, the
Arniston region boasts many more attractions
well worth a visit.

Whale Watching
Arniston Bay offers some of the world's best whale watching during
the months of September to November when the whales come to the secluded bay to calve and mate.
Watch the spectacular display
of Southern Right whales breaching, tail slapping and spy-hopping
either from the shore, or on a boat or air-based tour. |

Walks
There are a number of scenic walks in the area. Stroll down to the
harbour where you can watch the fishing boats come in with the day's
catch, or walk along the pristine, white beach. A must at low tide
is the walk to the Waenhuiskrans caves. The walk is 1,5 kilometres
along the road and cliff tops and a small walk down the dunes. Longer
walks will take you to Struis Point, Galjoengat and to the De
Mond Nature Reserve. |

Fishing
The waters surrounding this quaint fishing village are teeming with fish, of all types and species. There are many good shore-based fishing areas in and around Arniston.

to braai for dinner! For the more avid angling enthusiast, deep sea
fishing tours can be booked through the Arniston Tourism Office.
